What’s New
New features, improvements and fixes, newest first.
SplashSend on the Shopify App Store
Install SplashSend from the Shopify App Store and it brings in your customers with their marketing consent, the last 60 days of orders, your products and any abandoned checkouts, then keeps them up to date. Theme blocks put a SplashSend form, or a wall of the reviews you’ve chosen to show, on your store without any code to paste. If your account starts from the app, Shopify bills your plan.
Cruise checks every line against your material
Each Cruise email now starts from one of our designed templates. The words come from your products and photographs, and from anything you’ve told SplashSend in a check-in reply or added to your calendar. Every line is checked against that material before the email is saved, and anything the material doesn’t support, such as an offer or a claim that something is selling fast, is taken out.
Bring your list from Mailchimp, Klaviyo or Brevo
Paste an API key from Mailchimp, Klaviyo or Brevo and SplashSend copies your list across with each person’s status. People who unsubscribed stay unsubscribed, addresses that bounced or marked you as spam are never emailed, and anyone who never confirmed comes across as not subscribed. Your segments arrive as lists, and each person’s original sign-up date comes too wherever the old platform recorded it.
Live data in your emails
Data sets hold facts that aren’t about one person, such as your stock or the weather. Put them in an email and the values are filled in when it sends. A set can be a list you keep yourself, your shop’s products, a weather forecast for the towns you choose, public holidays, a published Google Sheet, a blog feed or a calendar feed. You can also use data to choose who gets an email or to start a drip, for example on the day a sale in your list begins.
New Reports
Reports now has a tab each for engagement, revenue, people, campaign sends, drips and Cruise. Revenue is counted from the orders your emails led to. Open any campaign to see how many people it reached and how many opened, clicked and ordered, along with the links they clicked.
Drips on a canvas
Every drip now opens as a flow you draw on a canvas. Place emails and waits, then split people into different paths by what they’ve done, or at random to test two versions against each other. A short guided tour runs the first time you open it.
Collect forms
Collect is a new section for forms. A form with an email field adds people to your list, and a form with questions stores their answers, such as a star rating or a written comment. A drip can email each customer a review link for every item in their order, and you choose which answers appear on your website.
Integration pages and feature requests
Each integration (Shopify, the API and webhooks) now has its own page, and a feature request board lets you share ideas and vote on what we build next.
Live onboarding flow
New accounts now get a guided set-up: add your business details, verify your sender email, connect integrations and choose a plan in a few minutes.
Outgoing webhooks
Send real-time event notifications to your server for bounces, complaints, deliveries, and subscriptions, all signed with HMAC-SHA256.
