Start on the Cruise page. While Cruise is on, a note at the top lists anything that would stop it sending, with a link to fix each one. While one of these stands, such as a sender email that isn't verified, Cruise doesn't write any emails. Then open the day on your Calendar: if the email wasn't written, or was written and couldn't be sent, its window says why.
The email wasn't written
No send day is picked
With no day chosen under When it sends, nothing is written or sent. Pick at least one day.
Cruise has nothing to show
Cruise needs a product with a picture, or photographs switched on for it in Media. If Your products is switched off under What Cruise knows, products don't count. The day's window says that Cruise has nothing to show yet. Switch some photographs on in Media, then open the day and click Generate Now.
Writing it failed
If writing an email fails for a reason on our side, Cruise tries again later, waiting longer each time. After two failed tries, the day's window says that Cruise had trouble writing it. After six, Cruise stops trying for that day and the window says so. You can click Generate Now to try straight away. If it keeps happening, contact us.
The day was skipped
A skipped day shows Cruise · Skipped. Open it and click Re-enable this send, and Cruise writes it again.
The email was written but didn't go out
It was waiting for your approval
With Ask me first, an email only goes out once you click Approve. You can approve a late one for four days after its day. After that its label reads Cruise · Too old to send.
Cruise was switched off
Nothing goes out on its own while Cruise is off, including emails that are written and approved. Their labels read Cruise · Cruise is off. Switch Cruise on at the top of the Cruise page. An email whose send time passed while Cruise was off doesn't go out when you switch it back on. Send now on the Calendar still sends one straight away. If your paid plan ended, Cruise was switched off at the same time.
Your sender email isn't verified
Cruise doesn't write or send anything until your sender email or your domain is verified. Verify your sender email in Setup → Sender details, or your domain in Setup → Domain.
Something is missing from the email
Every email has to show an unsubscribe link, so keep it in your Header & Footer. Your postal address doesn't stop Cruise sending, but the US and Canada require it in marketing emails sent to people there, so add it in Setup → Business address if you email people in either country. Cruise emails also have buttons that go to your website. If there's no Site address under How you sound and no Shopify store connected, the buttons have nowhere to go, so Cruise doesn't write any emails until you add one. If a written email couldn't be sent for one of these reasons, its window on the Calendar says which.
Nobody could receive it
Cruise only sends to people who are subscribed and whose emails haven't been stopped. It leaves out anyone on a list marked never to be emailed. It also leaves out people who chose, in their email preferences, to hear from you less often and have had an email too recently. If nobody is subscribed yet, Cruise doesn't write anything until someone is, and the note at the top of the Cruise page says so. If you picked groups or lists under Who it goes to, check the number beside each one, which is how many people in it can be emailed.
Sending is paused
If too many of your emails bounce or are marked as spam, sending is paused for your whole account until you've reviewed your list with us. See Bounces and spam complaints.
It couldn't go out on its day
If an email can't go out at its send time, SplashSend keeps trying for up to a day. It sends one Cruise email at a time: once a newer Cruise email has gone out, an older one that didn't never goes, so your list doesn't get two at once. After that it isn't sent, and Cruise carries on with the next one.
