SplashSend can ask each customer to review what they bought, a few days after their order. One button sets up everything it needs.
Setting it up
- Go to Collect. On the Forms tab, find the Set up post-purchase reviews card and click Set up reviews.
- A form called Product review and an email design called Review request email are made for you, along with a drip called Post-purchase review request. The drip opens on its canvas.
- Check the drip. It waits 3 days after the order, then sends the email with the subject “How did we do?”.
- The drip starts switched off. When you're happy with it, click Review & publish to switch it on.
What starts it
With your Shopify store connected, the drip starts when an order ships (A Shopify order ships). Without Shopify, it starts when an order is placed (An order is placed), such as an order your shop sends in through the API, and the 3-day wait gives the order time to arrive. A customer who orders again is asked again, as long as 30 days have passed since they were last asked.
What the customer gets
The email opens with “How was it?” and thanks them for their order. Below that is a card for each product they bought, with its name and a Review this button, and its picture if it's a Shopify product. Each button opens the review form with “You're reviewing” and the product's name at the top, and the review is filed against that product and that person.
Making it yours
- Change the email by opening Review request email in Designs. Edit the words, or add a photo. Keep the Ask for reviews block, which makes the review cards.
- Change the wait on the drip's canvas, such as to 10 days for slower deliveries.
- Change the questions by opening Product review in Collect. It asks for a star rating and a comment, and the person's name if they want to give it.
If you click it again
Clicking Set up reviews again opens the drip you already have. If its email design was deleted in the meantime, a new one is made and the drip is pointed at it.
Showing the reviews
Reviews arrive in Collect, on the Answers tab, as private answers. Choose the ones to show on your site, then add a site wall. See Showing reviews on your website.
