The Design tab sets how a form looks. The preview on the right shows each change as you make it.
Start from a look
The looks along the top restyle the whole form in one click: Side by side, Clean, Editorial, Bold, Soft and Night. A look only changes the styling, and your words and pictures stay as they are. Pick the one closest to your website, then change the details.
The groups
On the left, the settings are in groups. Click a group to open it; its heading shows how it's set now.
- Picture: add a picture (a logo, banner or photo), a Background behind the form, or a Video from a link to an MP4 or WebM file. Under Where it sits, put the picture on top, left of the words or right of the words.
- Words: the headline's typeface, weight, size and colour, an Accent word from the headline to set apart, a Line above the headline, a Subtitle, and the typeface for the rest.
- Boxes: whether each label sits above its box or inside it, the boxes' style, size, corners and colours, and whether Consent is a tick box or a sentence.
- Button: its colour, which follows your brand colour until you change it, a Gradient, a Glow, and its label colour, width, size and corners.
- Card: the background behind everything, an outline, corners, a shadow, the width and the room inside.
- Where it shows: in the page, or as a pop-up, slide-in or strip. See Putting a form on your website.
- For developers: your own CSS, to match your site exactly.
Sizes and corners are chosen in words, such as Soft or Round. Exact sizes, at the foot of a group, gives you the numbers.
Checking it
Above the preview, Desktop and Phone show the form at each size. A picture beside the words moves above them on a phone. If the form comes up as a pop-up, slide-in or strip, switch between In the page and the pop-up view to see both. Click any part of the preview to jump to its settings.
Good to know
- Forms appear on websites rather than in emails, so their typeface menus include web fonts as well as the ones built into every computer.
- A video plays silently on a loop. Where it can't play, or the visitor's device is set to reduce motion, the picture shows instead.
- The questions, heading and button are written on the Build tab. The line above the headline and the subtitle are written here.
