Adding a single person

  1. Go to People
  2. Click Add Person
  3. Enter their email address and optional details (name, properties)
  4. Click Save

The person will be added with “subscribed” status and can receive your emails immediately.

Importing from a file

  1. Go to People
  2. Click Import CSV
  3. Upload a CSV file with your subscriber data
  4. Map the columns to the right fields (email, first name, last name, etc.)
  5. Click Import

Duplicates are handled automatically — if an email already exists, the record is updated with the new data rather than creating a duplicate.

Syncing from Shopify

If you’ve connected Shopify, your marketing-consented customers are synced automatically. Only customers who opted in to email marketing in your Shopify store will be imported.

Important notes

  • Only import people who have given you permission to email them
  • Purchased email lists are not allowed and will hurt your deliverability
  • Each person’s consent is recorded automatically when they’re added
