Inboxes trust a sudden jump in how much you send less than the same amount built up over a day or two. Spread out sends a big email to your most engaged people first, then to everyone else over the next two days, between 7am and 9pm in your time zone. Their opens and clicks help the rest of your email reach the inbox.
Sending it spread out now
- In step 4, When should it go out?, click Spread out.
- Check the details, click Send spread out, then Schedule sends.
The first emails go straight away, or at 7am if it's night where you are.
Spreading out a scheduled email
Pick Send later, choose the date and time, and turn on Spread it out from then. For a campaign that's already scheduled, click Reschedule and turn it on there.
While it goes out
The campaign shows how many have gone, and when the next and the last emails go. You can leave the page, and Stop sending stops the rest. If too many emails bounce or are marked as spam while it goes out, sending pauses by itself.
Spread out can't be combined with an A/B test. Inbox health tells you when a scheduled email is much bigger than your usual day.
