The Sales dashboard adds up the orders credited to your emails, from your Shopify store and from any orders your own systems send in through the API. An order is credited to an email the person clicked, or opened, shortly before buying. The rules, and the settings that change them, are in How email attribution works.
The figures along the top
- Sales from email: the total of the credited orders placed in your dates. Underneath is the total for the days before, and the label beside it compares the two.
- Orders: how many credited orders there were, with the average order.
- For each email delivered: the sales divided by every email delivered in your dates. Underneath, the same sum for campaigns, Cruise and drips on their own shows which earns most for each email it sends.
- Emails delivered: every email delivered in your dates, of every kind.
The cards
- Sales from email, by day: each day's credited orders, split by the kind of email that earned them. An order counts on the day it was placed.
- Where the money comes from: each kind's share of the emails delivered, beside its share of the sales.
- Drips, ranked by revenue: each drip's sales, and the number of orders credited to its emails.
- Highest-earning sends: the campaigns and Cruise emails sent in your dates, ranked by the sales credited to them. Click a name to open it.
More about sales
Two of the ready-made reports go further. Add either to a dashboard from Browse ready-made.
- What does an email earn? puts the sales for each email delivered side by side for campaigns, Cruise and drips.
- Which products sell after an email? lists the products in orders credited to your emails, most ordered first. A Shopify product is named as it was when the order was placed, and an order sent through the API by the items it listed.
Which emails bring in sales is on the Overview dashboard. See The Overview dashboard.
Things to know
- A campaign's own page counts every order ever credited to it, while Reports counts only the orders placed in your dates, so a campaign's total can be lower here.
- Amounts are in your shop's currency.
- Orders that were refunded, voided, cancelled or failed aren't counted.
- If no credited order was placed in your dates, the cards say so, for example No orders were credited to an email in these dates.
