The Setup page
When you first sign in, you’ll see the Setup page. This is where you configure everything SplashSend needs to send emails on your behalf.
Step 1: Business details
Add your business name and physical address. This address is required by law (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR) and appears in the footer of every email you send.
Step 2: Verify your sender email
Enter the email address you want to send from (e.g. hello@yourcompany.com). We’ll send you a verification code — enter it to confirm you own the address.
Step 3: Authenticate your domain (optional but recommended)
For the best inbox placement, add DKIM records to your domain’s DNS. This tells email providers like Gmail that you’ve authorised SplashSend to send on your behalf. Without this, emails show “via send.splashsend.com” which can look less professional.
- Go to Setup → Sender → Authenticate domain
- Copy the CNAME records shown
- Add them to your domain’s DNS settings (usually in your domain registrar or hosting dashboard)
- Come back and click Verify — it can take up to 48 hours for DNS changes to propagate
Step 4: Connect Shopify (optional)
If you have a Shopify store, connect it in Setup → Shopify. This syncs your customers and orders so you can send targeted emails and track revenue.
